You will watch a video, sign a waiver, meet your instructor and receive a briefing with instruction on aircraft exit and landing. The 14,000+ foot freefall lasts about 60 seconds (ULTIMATE), and the Regular freefall is about 20 seconds.
You won't feel like you are falling, unlike on a roller coaster there is no acceleration, instead you will exit the plane at roughly the same speed as terminal velocity: with constant speed, you will feel like laying on an air mattress, relaxed, in the middle of the sky!
Both have 4-6 minutes of canopy - descent with your chute open. Depending on how busy we are, you should expect to be at the dropzone for 1 to 4 hrs after completing your paperwork.

Tandem classes last only about 20 minutes. After the class, timing is dependent on variables such as weather conditions, how many people are jumping that day and the order you had signed in.
Ideally, a tandem jump can be completed in 1 to 4 hours but please be mindful of other factors, and be prepared to spend the entire day on the North Shore.

PLEASE NOTE: Skydiving is highly dependent on weather conditions. In the past couple years, the local weather has evolved in a way that makes it more difficult to predict and more difficult to jump. We've completed a number of upgrades and operational improvements to maximize your chances of jumping in a timely manner but you must be prepared for delays or cancellation due to weather.

The sensation of freefall is more like flying, and is intensely exciting and liberating. You do not feel like you're on a rollercoaster, instead you are floating in the middle of the sky without any of the sensation of falling.
The airplane has forward momentum so you never experience the falling sensation.
The canopy flight is peaceful and relaxing.

If you change your mind once paperwork is turned in and the conditions are still good for skydiving, you are responsible for 100% of the jump cost, video and photography if you have chosen that option.

Tropical weather is hard to predict. It changes constantly, and is often very different from one side of the island to the other. Be sure to call before you drive to our location. Leave it to us to decide if the weather is good enough to jump. In order to maximize your safety, we generally avoid less-than-perfect conditions.

Your aerial photographer/videographer will actually jump with you. They wear a helmet that has a digital still camera and video camera mounted. With handicam both cameras are worn on the instructor's wrist. Photos and video are taken simultaneously. Personal cameras and GoPros are not allowed for safety reason.

No, you will be much too busy with your skydive to look after your camera and it could be easily lost or broken during your jump. We cannot risk dropping it in freefall or under parachute. No GoPros allowed either. IT CAN BE DANGEROUS IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING.

Yes. We have a freefall cinematography studio right here on-site that can provide you with edited video, including music and a pre-jump interview. We can also provide high definition digital photos of your skydive. No personal cameras allowed for your safety (no GoPro, smartphone, etc).

No, the time/distance gap between jumpers at exit makes it unsafe for your videographer to film more than one person at a time.

Skydiving is like any other extreme sport — there are inherent risks that require careful training and execution. Failure to follow that training can lead to serious injury or death. Skydiving is as safe as the individual(s) make it. The equipment has improved considerably over the old-style round parachute and is so reliable that, when used properly, skydiving can be as safe or safer than any other extreme sport.

Anyone can skydive but NOT EVERYBODY CAN REACT PROPERLY IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. There are limitations that come from age, physical fitness, individual circumstances, cameras, etc.. It is up to the discretion of the Management and the instructor to decide upon your ability to skydive, without prejudice, for your own personal safety.

The parachutes used today bear little resemblance to the classic round parachutes of years past. Today, nearly all jumpers use "ram-air" parachutes. These are rectangular in shape and, when open, act like an airplane wing. They are more like gliders than umbrellas. The aerodynamics of the parachute provides it with exceptional maneuverability, allowing the jumper to land almost anywhere he/she wishes. This wing shape is also what makes the tiptoe soft landings possible.

This is a common question. Although it's unlikely that your main parachute will fail to open properly, sometimes it can happen. To minimize the risk, every jumper has a reserve parachute. This is mandated by federal law. In addition, all of our equipment has an Automated Activation Device (AAD), which will automatically open the reserve parachute should the jumpers be unable to.

Yes, take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy! You will be able to breathe normally. Of course, if you open your mouth and look down, it may inflate!
